About us

Ravenswood, a 3,000 acre working farm, has been in the Hamilton family for 4 generations so you are likely to see us with our working kelpies, moving stock, on motorbikes or the tractor. With the backdrop of Tongbong Mountain (pronounced Tung-bung) and the surrounding hills, paddocks with scattered dams and grand eucalyptus trees, you'll be immersed in nature and country life.

The Farmhouse, once the heart of the second generation of our family, features a collection of old and new treasures, antiques and original artworks, many pieces from local artists or collected on travels.

Ravenswood Farmhouse is the perfect base to explore and discover the natural wonders of the Rylstone and Mudgee region; vineyards and the renowned shopping, café and restaurant scene.

Enjoy

Three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with two singles sleeping 6 people. All north facing with garden views, ceiling fans and electric blankets for the cooler nights.

Two living areas and outdoor areas provide plenty of space to enjoy as a group or find a secluded spot to unwind. Beautifully appointed with vintage treasures and original artwork. Air conditioning and a wood fire keeps the living areas comfy year round. A separate office with desk and office chair provide a dedicated workspace.

Large fully equipped kitchen makes catering a breeze with plenty of fridge and freezer space, a dishwasher, wall oven and cook top.

Two bathrooms with shower, toilet and bathroom essentials. Laundry facilities.

Fresh bread & condiments, butter, milk, tea, capsule and ground coffee are provided.
Wifi is provided and a Smart TV for you to connect to your favourite streaming services. Being in country NSW we don't enjoy the internet speeds of the city.
Gas BBQ and outside dining area, set in Ravenswood Farmhouse's rambling country garden with stone walls and views across the paddocks to the spectacular Rylstone district.
Luxurious Eco cotton bed linen and soft Sheridan bath towels are provided.
Relax and unwind in the garden; take a walk across the paddocks; picnic in the shade of the trees; bird watch; select from a range of board games and books for all ages.

The historic town of Rylstone is only a 5 minute drive from Ravenswood with a charming heritage streetscape and surprising foodie delights, boutique shops and local vineyards.
Nature at its Best

Surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the region, we are the gateway to World Heritage listed Wollemi National Park, home of the famous Wollemi Pine. Rylstone's amazing natural attractions include Ganguddy (Dunns Swamp), Ferntree Gully, Bylong Valley, and the Capertee Valley.
Mudgee - the nest in the hills

Forty minutes up the road, you will travel through the village of Lue and be delighted by the town of Mudgee with it's vineyards, cafes, restaurants, shopping precinct and more natural wonders including The Drip and Cudgegong River.
